One of the most popular issues each year 2008 Bowman Baseball is packed with Veterans, Rookies and inserts. The base set includes 200 Veterans and 20 Rookies. Also back again this year are 110 Prospect cards in regular and Chrome versions. Hobby boxes come with 24 packs and ten cards per pack. Each Hobby pack includes 5 base cards, 2 prospects, 2 chrome prospects and 1 gold parallel.
The always hot Refractors including SuperFractor and Xfractors are back too, along with Orange, Red, Gold and Blue parallels. Bowman Chrome Autographs are inserted one per hobby box. This year there are 21 Bowman Scouts autographs featuring the autograph of scouts that have signed stars like Arod, Ryan Howard and Derek Jeter.

2008 Upper Deck Premier Baseball

Last years version of Upper Deck Premier Baseball was a big hit and this years offering builds on that excitement. Packaged seven cards per pack/box Upper Deck has loaded it with big pulls. Each seven card pack contains one woven patch card, one triple or quad memorabilia card, one dual or triple patch card, one regular or parallel card, one rookie card and two autographs.
The regular cards are numbered to 99 or less and the parallels are numbered to 15. Rookie signatures are numbered to 299 and signature parallels are numbered to 99 or less. The woven patch cards are numbered to 99 and the parallels to 75 or less. Autographed cards are numbered as low as one of one and others up to fifty. Memorabilia cards are numbered as low as three and up to 75. Patch cards come numbered as low as one of one up to 75.
The base set includes 200 regular cards and 42 Rookie Autographs.

2008 Upper Deck First Edition Baseball

2008 Upper Deck First Edition Baseball is features the same full bleed photography of the regular set but at a much cheaper price at ninety-nine cents a pack for ten cards. The box configuration is 36 packs per box with 10 cards per pack. Look for the randomly inserted Starguest cards and the Yankee Stadium Legacy cards. The base set contains 300 cards.

2008 Topps Opening Day Baseball

This years version of 2008 Topps Opening Day Baseball has a red border which really stands out this year. The base cards follow the design of 2008 Topps Baseball and include the Opening Day logo on the fronts. There are 220 base cards and returning again this year are the parallel cards that are numbered to 2008. The puzzle pieces also make a return this year but a newcomer on the block is the Flapper cards. Flapper cards are inserted two per hobby box and transform into multiple cards. Also included in hobby boxes are the one per case autographs and the one of one printing plates.
